Synonymous with the Australian style of residential architecture, sliding doors are to be found in many homes throughout the country.
Quantum(tm) XP sliding doors combine the unique smooth Quantum(tm) XP hump sill and the patented Van Door(tm) sealing system to resist wind, rain and dust penetration. The Quantum(tm) XP hump sill is much easier to clean than conventional sills, and also provides smooth wheelchair and stroller access.
Security was a major consideration in the design of the Quantum(tm) XP sliding door and several integrated levels of security are available to compliment the strong but elegant 55mm wide sash sections.
Even the largest doors in the Quantum(tm) XP sliding door range glide effortlessly on height-adjustable, heavy-duty nylon wheels. There are two at each end for a truly smooth operation.
With safety in mind, Quantum(tm) XP sliding doors come fitted with toughened safety glass and visibility strips; for extra security, laminated glass can be included as an option.
Quantum(tm) XP sliding door locks are manufactured in solid die-cast aluminium and feature a dual-beak locking action, which prevents entry by lifting the door. Quantum(tm) XP sliding doors have passed the Californian Forced Entry Standard, one of the toughest forced entry standards in the world.
The standard keyed lock features internal and external access. A 5-pin lock cylinder allows you to cut the keys to the same profile as your front door. The deadlock feature on the Quantum(tm) XP sliding door has a removable snib that performs a dual function of latch and key. It is designed to provide deadlocking when removed, or provide ease of exit in emergency situations when in place. A red indicator flag has also been built-in to signal when the door is unlocked.
The optional concealed ventlock allows you to lock the door in a partially open position to allow for ventilation. When the door is in the fully closed position, the ventlock can be activated with the deadlock to provide for 3-point locking. Increased strength for high wind areas is also part of the Quantum(tm) XP design which uses optional concealed steel channels to reinforce the door. |
