Compliance with AS2047 and the BCI
Miglas' windows meet the Australian Standards regulations AS2047 and AS1288.Â
These standards regulate the wind pressure, water infiltration & glazing ratings of the window.
Other aspects are bushfire resistance, acoustics & security performance.
Every region has different specific requirements. These aspects have to be clarified prior to quote and manufacturing. According to AS2047 this has to be nominated by the applicant or the approving authority.
Miglas windows and doors are tested to a test pressure 4500pa and 1200pa water pressure resistance and an air leakage of 0.07 for all opening windows. This means they fulfil the requirements for up to N6, C4.
The Australian Window Association (AWA) and Miglas can give you more information on request.
Achieve 5star Energy Rating for your Home
Window Energy Rating (WERS) rates windows with independent third party simulations (and partly physical) tests.
The ratings help you to make the right decision for your windows and show the improvement and heating and cooling compared to standard single glazed aluminium window.
Miglas achieves from 3 up to 4.5 stars with their product and can contribute to a 5+ star energy rating of your home.
U Value below 2.95 and air infiltration at 0.07 for all Miglas windows show a top end market product.
Ecospecifier
Miglas is listed on ecospecifier as sustainable and health-preferable solutions for windows.
The entry is only possible by passing an independent third party audit.
