The beauty of sunscreen fabrics is to maintain the view to the outside while efficiently managing the effects of the sun.
To achieve excellent transparency, Mermet has placed considerable emphasis on producing a perfectly calibrated yarn, that is to say that the yarn is uniform in all aspects of construction. The regularity of the yarn coating and weaving also contributes to the transparency. With such a fabric, the space feels open and unconfined.
Mermet offers different openness factors (OF) for different situations:
- Complete blackout for perfect privacy and excellent heat protection
- Dim out (0-2% OF) for privacy, natural light and heat protection
- Small openness factors (1% & 3% OF)) for glare control and heat protection
- Medium openness factors (5% OF) for glare control, view and heat protection.
- Large openness factors (10% OF) for outstanding view and heat protection
To avoid obstructing the view with joining welds and to fit all window sizes, Mermet fabrics come in a variety of widths, from 160cm to 310cm.
