Hotbeam sees RED with the extreme output AquaRibbon outdoor LED light
Thursday 22nd November 2007

Hotbeam is proud to announce the release of the extreme brightness, IP67 waterproof LED light called the HBLL-6WR AquaRibbon LED. The new AquaRibbon is a very slim, extreme brightness LED light for outdoor signage, general lighting and internal damp/wet area lighting applications.

The extreme brightness HBLL-6WR rigid LED light and the flexible HBI3-180WR AquaRibbons were recently installed outside the TAC Transition Office in Geelong, cnr Brougham and Clare Streets.

The architect wanted an unobtrusive, slimline, very high output light source to light the new TAC outdoor signboard and selected the extreme output Hotbeam HBLL-6WR rigid AquaRibbon LED strip. With each piece 1730mm long and a whooping 1070 lumen output, the fire engine red TAC signboard will be a stand out for all to see for many years to come.

Other factors that pushed the decision towards the AquaRibbon was the low running temperature of the strip (max of 45C) that will result in extended LED life and therefore low maintenance costs. The low power consumption of each length of the AquaRibbon also means it is a much more sustainable alternative to traditional halogen or high intensity discharge spot lights.
