Versatility that's hard to equal!
CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ is a highly versatile flooring system which is quickly installed over standard timber or steel joists. During installation the SoundFloor™ panels are fixed to the joist with screws and adhesive. This composite action results in greater resistance to 'bounce', making SoundFloor™ an excellent solid, stable base for tile, slate, marble and other hard surface flooring, including bathroom, laundry and other wet area applications. The smooth, flat surface of SoundFloor™ is also perfectly suited to carpet, vinyl, timber boards, parquetry and decorative plywood flooring.
CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ is also an efficient and cost effective alternative to suspended concrete slab construction, particularly where access is difficult.
Energy Saving
Up to 10% of household heating and cooling can be lost through the floor. CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ systems help to keep your room temperatures more stable, reducing the energy required to heat and cool your home, and thereby reducing your energy bills and improving your thermal comfort. CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ systems are efficient due to a unique combination of thermal insulation (the ability to reduce the flow of heat into or out of your home), thermal mass (here the floor system acts as an 'energy bank', helping to keep rooms cool in summer and warm in winter, and works best with tiled/slate coverings), and thermal integrity (natural resistance to draughts – as there is a greatly reduced incidence of air leakage in a SoundFloor™ system).

CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ is not a food source for termites and is non-combustible, and therefore will not burn.
These advantages not only make CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ ideal for inside your home but an excellent choice for decks and balconies. Raised flooring also provides excellent access for ongoing pest inspection underneath, which is part of good maintenance practices.
There's also the added security and strength from the reinforcing steel mesh within each SoundFloorâ„¢ panel.

Although CSR Hebel SoundFloor™ is lightweight – just 25% the weight of conventional concrete – it remains solid and strong, giving your floors a reassuring feel similar to traditional concrete but with the added advantage of some flexibility to absorb any major impacts due to the action of the supporting bearers and joists.
