The Australian Institute of Architects will announce the 2008 NSW Architecture Awards at a special ceremony in Sydney this Saturday (19 July 2008).
Awards being presented include those for public architecture, sustainable architecture, urban design, residential architecture (houses and multiple housing), commercial architecture, small project architecture, heritage, interior architecture, and a special Premier’s Prize for an outstanding architectural project.
Presentation of NSW’s top architecture awards - the Sulman Award for Public Architecture, and the Wilkinson Award for Residential Architecture – will be two highlights of the event. Previous winners include some of Australia’s top architects including Harry Seidler, Glenn Murcutt, Peter Stutchbury and Durbach Block.
More than 150 projects from across NSW, submitted by some of Australia’s best known architects through to first time entrants, and featuring budgets ranging from the very modest to multi-millions, are vying for key awards.
